Class Notes- September 2018

Congratulations to the now Lieutenant Colonel Carter Lee '97 on his recent promotion in the Virginia National Guard. ​

Lauren Stellato Hodges '08 married Parker Hodges this June at The New England Aquarium in Boston, Massachusetts. Ashley Turner '08 was a bridesmaid and Hannah Greenberg '08, Nani Moskal '08, and Stephanie Crawford '08 were in attendance.

Sarah Katherine (Holley) Sledd '12 married her childhood sweetheart Caleb Sledd on June 23. Adrienne Wynd, Courtney Mayberry, and Taylor Perry (NGA) were bridesmaids.

Members of the Class of 2011 attended an engagement party for Micajah Lacy in July. Congratulations!

Sam Lawrence '12 married Kelani Bailey on August 18 at Glenburn Farms in Vinton, VA. Sam’s sisters, Emily Lawrence (NGA) and Margaret Lawrence '17, served as bridesmaids, and Paul Ross '12 was a groomsman. George Revercomb '12 and Kyle Fraser '12 also attended the wedding.

Mark Samarasinghe '99 (and younger brother of NCS staff member Susan Baker and uncle to Sophie Baker ’30) married Kristi Nelson on Labor Day weekend in Geneva, Ohio. Mark's brother Michael Samarasinghe '06 was also in the wedding.

In Memoriam

Alumna Margaret Jones Irvin '72 passed away at the end of June. Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Martin Reid Irvin '06, and her daughter, Dana Brooks Irvin (NGA).

Parent of Alumni Billy (Bill) Hugh Branch passed away on Sunday, September 16. Bill is survived by his wife, Betty McAlister Branch since 1952; children, Michael (wife Karen), Patrick, Suzannah, Katherine '77, Sally '80 (husband Roy), Polly '83, Thomas '84 (wife Lisa), and Bonny '88; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
