Tailored Tuition Discount

Tailored Tuition is an optional discounted tuition program for which any family currently applying to North Cross or enrolled at the school can apply. Families concerned about affording the full tuition rate at North Cross School should consider this program. On average, over 25% of our families receive a Tailored Tuition which takes into account each family's unique income and expense portfolio and adjusts tuition accordingly. However, each family must pay a minimum of at least $4,850 for Junior Kindergarten, per year, and $4,200 for all other grades, per year.

North Cross also offers merit-based scholarship programs for students who show exceptional leadership and academic accomplishment. For more information, visit our "How to Apply" page.

Tailored Tuition FAQs

Is every family required to submit a Tailored Tuition application?
No, families are not required to participate.
AFTER I APPLY, WHEN CAN I EXPECT A DECISION?
Applications are confidential and considered by the Tailored Tuition Committee separate from admission or re-enrollment. Families typically receive their Tailored Tuitions within two weeks of providing all required information to our confidential third party service.
WILL APPLYING FOR TAILORED TUITION AFFECT MY STUDENT'S ACCEPTANCE?
No. Admission applications and Tailored Tuition applications are evaluated separately, and an application for a Tailored Tuition has no bearing on the admission process. North Cross School has a need-blind admission policy.
Does North Cross School offer a “multi-student discount"?
Not exactly.  However, one of the considerations for Tailored Tuitions relates to family size and number of students applying for admission or enrolled at North Cross School.  The application takes into account the increased impact on a family's financial situation when applying for more than one child.
What kind of financial situation is typical of those who receive a Tailored Tuition?
A wide range of families with a variety of circumstances receive Tailored Tuitions, from those who are able to pay close to top of the tuition range to those who are at the entry level of the range. Many factors are evaluated, including income, assets, unusual expenses, and the size of the family.  Click on each image to see an infographic with the full example. The examples only include a few of the factors considered.
Is it possible to attend North Cross School at no cost
No. Every family is required to make a financial investment in their child’s education. Our commitment to providing Tailored Tuitions means that we are sharing in that investment with you.
Do I need to apply for a Tailored Tuition every year
Yes. A new application must be submitted every year.  North Cross remains committed to maintaining similar levels of tuition responsibility, with similar financial circumstances.  If a family’s ability to contribute to the student’s education increases, the tuition rate may increase accordingly.
Does North Cross offer scholarships?
Yes. The school offers academic merit-based scholarships. There are no athletic scholarships.
I am a returning family, but I do not receive Tailored Tuition.  Can I apply for a Tailored Tuition?
Yes. Returning families who have never applied for Tailored Tuition are eligible to apply. Because of your previously demonstrated ability to pay at the top of the range, you would submit Tailored Tuition application, along with a written statement explaining your change in financial circumstance (change in job or income, job loss, extenuating circumstance, etc.).  The most recent two years of tax documentation are required.
When is the deadline for returning families to apply for Tailored Tuition
Current families must submit their Tailored Tuition request by completing the Parents Financial Statement and uploading the required documents by April 17, 2018.
APPLY FOR TAILORED TUITION
Please Note: You must already be in the application process for North Cross School or currently enrolled to apply for Tailored Tuition. Current families may only apply during the re-enrollment process before each academic year.
