Class Notes - July 2019

Tom Ashton '98 released a new book on July 1, "Virginia Family Law for Non-Lawyers."

Brendan LaCroix '98 is going to be inducted into the Roanoke Valley Golf Hall of Fame! Among LaCroix's numerous golfing accomplishments are two victories in the Roanoke Valley Golf Hall of Fame tournament, as well as a Roanoke Valley Match Play title. In addition, he has served as chairman of the Roanoke Valley Golf Hall of Fame scholarship committee and other charity events. 

Katherine Tyler Bailey '11 started a new position as Designer at Poss Architecture + Planning and Interior Design.

Christopher "Toofer" Moore '11 married Sarah Gray Erickson at Lee Chapel in Lexington, VA on June 22. Toofer's brothers Temple Moore '07 and Spencer Moore '09 both filled the position of Best Man, and Matt Watson '11, Morgan Moskal '11, and Micajah Lacy '11 were groomsmen. 

Jonathan Turner '11 got engaged to Kristen Fialdini in July at Dumbarton Oaks in Washington, D.C.

Kyle Fraser '12 is spending his summer in New York City as a Summer Associate at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP!

Alexandra Martin '12 was recently promoted to Vice President of Business Operations for the Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs. 

Rachael Wright '12 landed a spot in the ShopRite LPGA Classic pro-am in Galloway, New Jersey following a cancellation and won the long-drive competition in the amateur division. She maxed out at 260 yards. ​​

George Cartledge IV '14 started a new position as Enterprise Account Executive at Oracle in Massachusetts. ​​

Keith Oddo '15 transferred from the University of Richmond to Louisville to play basketball. 

In Memoriam

We are sad to share that Linda F. Steele '68 passed away on June 12. Linda is survived by her father, T. D. Steele (Dixie); brothers, Roger D. Steele '70 (Linda L.) and T. Garrick Steele '71; sister, Carelyn S. Sheppard '73; six nephews and nieces; and four great-nieces and nephews.
