We are well into the third trimester and things continue to go well. The recent expansion on outside gatherings and the relaxed attendance restrictions for graduations give us hope that we can have many of our traditional spring events. In addition, the decrease in positivity rates in the Roanoke Valley and the increasing percentage of those vaccinated provide optimism that next year will begin normally.
In the meantime, we continue to follow our mitigation procedures and testing schedule. We just received the results from our most recent round of COVID testing and had one upper school faculty member test positive. This teacher is asymptomatic and will teach remotely before returning after a 14 day period of isolation.
No students tested positive!
With one positive result out of 604 tests performed, we have a positivity rate of .16%. We have four rounds of testing remaining in the school year. Let’s continue to stay smart.
