We continue to be wary of the spread of COVID variants which have been shown to be more transmissive. In particular, we continue to use masks on campus and while participating in athletics. I appreciate everyone’s continued patience. But having said that, we are pleased that our mitigation efforts continue to work. Our faculty and staff is 95% fully vaccinated, vaccines are now available for students as young as 16 years old, and our most recent round of community wide testing shows no positive results. In fact, we have had only a single positive result over the last 1100+ COVID tests we have administered.
In keeping with CDC guidelines, we will no longer quarantine faculty/staff/students who are exposed to COVID if they have been fully vaccinated. In addition, faculty/staff/students who are fully vaccinated will not be required to test regularly for exposure to COVID although they may elect to. If your child has been fully vaccinated and you wish for them to opt out of future testing, please email us a copy of their vaccine certificate. There are three more scheduled rounds of COVID testing before the end of the school year.
