We received our results from the most recent round of school wide testing. Out of 585 tests, we had four positive results for students and one positive for a volunteer coach. All that tested positive will isolate for 14 days. We conducted contact tracing and all those that were in close contact will quarantine until they can be retested next Thursday before beginning spring break.

Ten years ago, as I sat in the front window at Alexander’s, waiting for the official decision of the Board to approve me as the eighth Headmaster at North Cross School, I never could have imagined the successes we would achieve. From the days when we had to ask Board members for temporary loans to meet payroll, to the present, where North Cross is on a par with the best independent schools in Virginia, our success has been the product of much care, hard work, and a little bit of good fortune. So it is with very mixed emotions, I inform you of my decision to resign my position as Head of School at North Cross School, effective June 30, 2022.
On Thursday, we tested 572 faculty, students, and staff and received our results within 24 hours. We had two positives, one in Mrs. Clark’s 5th grade homeroom and one in seventh grade. This is a .35% positivity rate and indicates a very low prevalence of virus on our campus.
