Part-time CDL Drivers
North Cross is actively recruiting part-time bus drivers with a Virginia Commercial Driver’s License. Qualified applicants for this position must be 19 years of age or older, have a high school diploma or G.E.D., a valid Virginia driver’s license, and an excellent driving record. Applicants must also possess the ability to communicate effectively in English and be capable of sitting for three hours at a time. A pre-employment drug screening is required for this position and the CDL drug testing guidelines will be followed during the employment period. A satisfactory criminal background investigation will be required of the selected applicants. The hiring rate is $12.00 per hour, and hours of work will vary. Ability to contribute outside the classroom, most especially in our athletic programs, is highly preferred. North Cross interviews both experienced teachers and those new to the field.

Each new teacher goes through a general orientation to help him or her get started and is assigned a member of the faculty who helps with getting adjusted to school life and teaching at this school. Each new teacher’s department head serves as support for all things related to the class room and Division Directors observe and meet with new teachers as well. Because of our size, new teachers gain responsibility quickly and are fully integrated into the faculty from the very first day.
