Since 1918, Americans have honored the sacrifice and service of veterans on November 11. Formerly known as Armistice Day, the national holiday originated to celebrate the end of “the war to end all wars" after World War I. However, it was renamed to Veterans Day in 1954 following World War II and the Korean War, encompassing veterans of all wars.
Here at North Cross, we have a number of veterans on faculty and staff. The following individuals have served at separate times and in different military branches—but all fighting for the same common cause.
