The New Year is a great time to let everyone know what your NCS Parents’ Association has achieved over the past year. The 30 volunteers who make up the Parents’ Association Board work hard all year to help the school ensure that the students—our children—have the best educational experience possible.
Over the course of the past year, the PA has hosted a number of school-wide events:
- Prom and After-Prom
- Admission events
To further support the students and the school, we contributed to the Lower School Holiday Performance by Bradley Sowash in 2014, the Yale Alley Cats performance, the Holiday greenery decorations, and overall grounds and landscaping. Our contributions to these endeavors totaled $1,900. And for the first time this April, under the leadership of Co-chairs Elise and Zack DeMoss, the PA will help coordinate and generate volunteers for the Big Flea sale. Revenues from the sale will be shared between PA and the operating budget of the school.
While we can total the $27,000 dollars the Parents’ Association has given to the school, we can never put a dollar value on the countless hours of time, talent, and hard work the PA Board volunteers contribute to North Cross School. I want to say a personal “Thank You” to each member, and hope that our contributions have helped make each students’ experience here a better one in some way.
