Join us in congratulating the JV Field Hockey team on an undefeated season. Coach Mary Semler released the following statement regarding the team's performance this season:
"I am extremely proud of my JV team," said Coach Semler. "We were 5-0-2 for the season. The team consisted of girls in 6th through 11th grades. We had Sulan Yan '17, Margo Winn '18, and Madisen Charles '18, all of whom are new to field hockey. Our freshmen are Claudia Morgan '19, Julia Brown '19, and Victoria Riego De Dios '19. We have five eighth graders, Nora Terrill '20, Ainsley McGinn '20, Tobi Bankole '20, Nathalie Lemon '20 and Isabelle Davis '20. The seventh graders are Julia H'Doubler ’21,
Jessica Helmer '21 and Anna Todd Kemper '21. Our one sixth grader is Meredith Winn '22.
The girls started working hard during preseason which began on August 3rd. Our Varsity players were great role models for the JV players. Madisen, Margo, Victoria, Claudia, and Julia played both for Varsity and for JV whenever they could. This allowed me to have a few subs on the sideline. For our last game against Covenant, we had all middle school girls with Sulan, Claudia, and Victoria, only 11 players, giving us no subs. They had to play the entire time without a break. Winning 3-1 showed their true spirit and commitment to each other. I'm proud to coach these girls! Go Raider Field Hockey!"
