… with the help of some dedicated parents and faculty, that's how. An overcast sky for an outside dedication may unnerve some groups, but not the parents and faculty who made the Lower School Garden possible. They love when it rains! These dedicated women came together Wednesday afternoon to be honored for their vision, time and funding that made this garden a reality for the entire Lower School to enjoy—and for anyone who took part in the school's salad bar early this fall!
Outdoor Education Director and Lower School teacher Betsy Cook brought the women to the garden to dedicate the newly installed plaque in their honor. Afterwards, Mrs. Cook said a few words of appreciation, noting how much the students look forward to their time in this outdoor classroom each week. The parents, Molly Burns, Fiona Towers and Sarah EK Muse, along with Mrs. Cook and teacher Emily Brown and Assistant Head of School for Academics Deborah Jessee made this amazing space possible for our young students to enjoy a hands-on approach to life sciences. We are grateful for their efforts and the legacy of learning that this garden creates.
