On Thursday afternoon, middle school and upper school girls joined Mrs. Leigh Ann Hamlin for a Kind Campaign Assembly in Fishburn Auditorium.
The Kind Campaign is an internationally recognized nonprofit organization that brings awareness to the negative and lasting effects of female bullying. Co-founders Lauren Paul and Molly Thompson created the documentary Finding Kind in which they traveled the country and interviewed girls and women of all ages to speak out on this issue. The documentary explores the lasting effects of how and how simple acts of kindness can create change
While the girls participated in the Kind Campaign, middle and upper school boys broke out into small groups for open discussion on other key character initiatives. Male faculty members talked with them about the value and importance of being a contributing member of society.
