October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and North Cross is doing its part to help raise awareness for the disease by hosting Pink Days for students, faculty, and staff. The Middle School's annual Pink Day will be held on Tuesday, October 13th. Upper and Lower School students will have Pink Day on Thursday, October 15th. Donations will be accepted from those participating in Pink Day events.
On May 28 the school dedicated a tree to Liz Holt in honor of her 29 years of service to North Cross School. All lower school students attended the dedication where Ms. Holt told the students "I am a Raider, I will always be a Raider. You all are Raiders, and you will always be Raiders. Raiders are hard working, honest, and take care of each other. That's all there is to it." The maple tree is near the rock behind Willis Hall. A portrait of Ms. Holt is also underway and will be hung in Ellis Hall this fall.
