The annual Legacy Picnic is a way to bring together alumni and their children, who are current students, for an afternoon of fellowship and fun.
The Legacy Picnic highlights the benefits of being part of the Raiders community. Several of the parents who attended grew up together, developed lasting friendships, and now have the privilege of watching their own children enjoy the same experience that they did.
At the event, Dr. Proctor recognized five members of the Class of 2016, Jack Fishwick, Campbell Lake, Joseph Cartledge, Jim Card, and Mary Kate Graeff, and asked them to speak on what it means to be a North Cross legacy.
ROANOKE -- North Cross School alumnus, Will Dichtel ’96, was recently selected as a 2015 MacArthur Fellow. The MacArthur Fellows Program offers genius grants to 20-30 individuals nationwide who show exceptional creativity and self-motivation in their intellectual pursuits. Recipients of the award include scholars in a variety of fields, ranging from human rights to astrophysics.
