Education: BSN, University of Virginia
Year Appointed: 2015
What is your professional background? Registered Nurse. I worked in the NICU at both MCV and King's Daughters Children's Hospital as well as in the Family Birth Center at Community Hospital.
How did you first become connected with North Cross School? We sent our first child to North Cross School when she was a Kindergartener (now called ECP3). Our neighbors, Bon and Connie Vermillion, raved about the school.
What is your favorite North Cross tradition? The Fat Pencil ceremony. I love seeing the ECP2 children present fat pencils to their senior buddies. And the seniors' recollections of their years at NCS are always an entertaining hit!
What is one thing people may not know about you? I love being outside and have participated in a twice weekly outdoor boot camp for seven years.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time? Reading, hiking, cycling, and being with my family.
When you think about North Cross, what makes you proud to be part of the school community? I love the community that exists within our school. We've had children at NCS for twenty-one years, and it really does feel like a family.
