Before the first book was cracked, the first pencil sharpened, or the first iPad screen swiped, our student athletes had represented North Cross at area tournaments and events. Girls Varsity Volleyball made quite an impression at last weekend's Pathway Preseason Classic. The Raiders took the title with a 6-game to none against Temple Christian, Parkway Christian, Pathway Christian, Appalachian Christian, Ballard and DaySpring Christian—a complete shut out. Elizabeth Giles ’18 (third from right) captured Most Valuable Player while Natalie List ’17 (fourth from left) and Grace Whitesell ’19 (far left) made the all-tournament team. "Perfect way to start off the season," remarked Coach Terri Craig (second from left). But they weren't the only team leading the pack.
Members of the Cross Country team led by coaches Ed Dickenson (far left) and Lauren Horner (fourth from left) brought their team's Raider spirit to the Fab5K last weekend. Coach Dickenson notes "I was so proud of the enthusiasm and supportive spirit that I saw from every member of our team!" Chester Pruitt ’18 (second from left) knocked 1:40 off his time from last year and finished the race in just over 18 minutes.
